Franz Xaver von Schönwerth - Oberpfälzer Märchen

Erika Eichenseer, born in Munich in 1934, was an educator, local historian, and author in Munich and Regensburg until 1994. In 2009, she discovered, reviewed, and published around 500 authentic tales from the Upper Palatinate in the estate of Franz Xaver von Schönwerth (1810-1886), a largely forgotten local researcher and collector from Amberg. She has made a name for herself as a storyteller of these tales. Together with her husband, Dr. Adolf Eichenseer, the district local historian of the Upper Palatinate, she founded the Schönwerth Society.
