Fräulein Anna, Gerichtsmedizin (Die Gerichtsärztin 1)

A young woman from the countryside and a worldly nobleman investigate in Munich during the time of the Prince Regent. Anna Zech starts in 1912 as an assistant in the Munich forensic medicine department. Her very first autopsy involves a corpse from the Isar River. Anna does not believe it was suicide. Coming from a large family in the countryside, she is not naive. The scandal reporter Fritz von Weynand also suspects that someone may have intervened. The deceased was acquainted with many prominent figures and had a certain reputation. Initially intimidated by the charm of the noble Fritz, Anna's courage and curiosity prove to be stronger. Together, they uncover the dark sides of the elite Munich society.
