The series "Historical Switzerland. Newly Arranged" presents the cultural and social history of Switzerland in four volumes. Few other sources provide such direct and immediate insights into the past as historical photographs. The focus is directed towards the everyday, as well as the extraordinary characteristics of individual regions of the Alpine Republic, captured in previously unpublished images from various photo archives across Switzerland.

The beginning of this unique compilation is the volume on Northeast Switzerland. Whether it's traditions and customs in Appenzellerland, landscapes and architecture in Schaffhausen, industrial scenes and politics in St. Gallen, or notable personalities from Thurgau - these are touching, surprising, seemingly absurd, entirely pragmatic, but always authentic representations of people and places, things and circumstances.
