The world seems to be coming apart at the seams, the hullabaloo is gaining the upper hand, great utopias have long since passed, dystopias are very much in fashion. Stefan Heyer sets form and structure against the impending chaos, with his sonnets he fights against the dark sea and the gloomy wasteland. In his poems, Dante's hell is visited, white canvases are contemplated, differences are torn open, odysseys across the sea are undertaken. In an examination of literature, art and philosophy, they seek a foothold, chase after hope, trace the song of the sirens. Between bare trees and yawning night owls, Stefan Heyer spins his threads in his poems, draws planks and builds bridges.
