The aim of the present two-volume work "Theory of Form and Design" is not only to get to know Paul Klee better as an artist but also to discover him as an art educator – for example, at the Bauhaus in Weimar and Dessau. Klee's art theory is published here for the first time in its entirety, covering the fundamental, content-related, and stylistic areas. From simple forms to the complex interconnections of pictorial elements, movement is at the center of his form thinking.
