Product details
Forensic DNA phenotyping is a new form of DNA analysis that makes it possible to use DNA to obtain information about the external characteristics of an unknown person (e.g. eye, skin or hair colour). This dissertation examines the molecular-genetic and criminal-procedural foundations of classical and extended DNA analysis. It then explores the scope as well as the limits under EU and constitutional law for a possible introduction of forensic DNA phenotyping in the Code of Criminal Procedure. Finally, the work culminates in a comprehensive assessment of whether and to what extent forensic DNA phenotyping can be authorised in Germany.
