On the way to an expertocracy? During the Corona pandemic, reliable information was in greater demand than ever. The advice of scientists was sought, and the reach of traditional media increased. At the same time, journalists, scientists, and politicians struggled for interpretive and decision-making authority. Under high pressure to act, politics looked to science not only for ideas for effective interventions in the social framework but also for legitimacy for uncomfortable decisions.
