FM4 Wortlaut 23. SCHARF

The FM4 Short Story Competition, Wortlaut, is back, and this year the theme is "sharp." From sharp individuals to sharp chili, from sharp claws to sharp knives, from sharp minds to sharp winds, from sharp dogs to sharp smells, from sharp photos to sharp gazes. From politics, where something is constantly rejected "in the sharpest terms," to Ibiza. FM4 offers all writers the chance to express themselves in a brief literary form on the topic of "sharp." The editorial pre-jury will select 20 texts from approximately 1,000 submissions, which will then be anonymized and passed on to the esteemed jury. This jury will then choose the winners, and the ten best contributions will be included in the anthology FM4 Wortlaut 22. Sharp. The jury is also keen on the short stories: Didi Drobna (writer), Elias Hirschl (author and musician), Anna Mabo (musician and director), Eva Scheidweiler (winner of Wortlaut 2022), Michael Stavaric (author and translator).
