Flora des Kantons Bern

Long out of print - now available again: The "Flora of the Canton of Bern" by Lauber & Wagner has been completely revised and updated by Andreas Gygax in collaboration with Gerhart Wagner. The Canton of Bern extends from the southern Jura through the central plateau to the Central Alps. As such, its flora is also representative of the rest of Switzerland, with the exception of the cantons of Valais, Ticino, and Graubünden. The species of ferns and flowering plants documented in the Canton of Bern in 1840 are presented in this work with images and descriptions. The book is based on the successful "Flora Helvetica," thus combining the benefits of both botanical works: The "Flora of the Canton of Bern" retains the nationwide data as well as the species numbers. Text descriptions and distribution maps have been updated, and the images come from the extensive photo archive.
