Knowledge of each child's learning progress plays a significant role in contemporary teaching. The Flex and Flora diagnostic booklet offers learning progress assessments at key points in the four booklets.

The tasks included in the diagnostic booklet are related to and aligned with the units of the four booklets. A child should only move on to new units after reaching the stop sign at the end of a unit and successfully completing the corresponding learning progress assessment in the diagnostic booklet. Thus, the learning progress assessments are integrated at an individual time based on the child's learning pace, between the work on the units. The children complete the learning progress assessments independently. The diagnostic booklet accompanies the children throughout the school year and clarifies their individual learning process.

The teacher can then evaluate these directly on the back pages. The support copy templates provide tailored materials. Additionally, the teacher materials contain further information and guidance on support measures.
