Product details

The Working Hours Act (ArbZG) limits daily working hours to protect health. However, for effective protection, working hours must be fully recorded. The judiciary has already imposed a corresponding obligation on employers, and the legislator must follow suit. The new basic commentary explains the current legal situation. At the same time, home office and mobile work are changing the understanding of standard working hours. Flexibility is desired. In the tension between necessary regulation and contemporary flexibility, the authors provide clear guidance. The focus areas of the new edition include: maximum daily working hours, recording of working hours, legality of overtime, compensation for additional work performed, working hours in mobile work and home office, rest breaks and rest periods, distribution of working hours throughout the day. The authors: Erika Fischer, Silvia Mittländer, Regina Steiner, specialized lawyers for labor law.
