Feld- und Hallenhockey – Das Praxisbuch für Studium, Training und Freizeitsport

Hockey is one of the most popular team sports in Germany. It is gaining relevance as a sport in both (higher) schools and in recreational and club sports. This textbook aims to provide sports students, coaches in recreational sports, and teachers in school sports with an overview of the fundamentals of field and indoor hockey for learning the sport. It presents techniques and tactics to develop game understanding for beginners to advanced players. Additionally, it explains how hockey can be taught safely and enjoyed through a target group-oriented approach. More than 20 exercises and game forms with increasing levels of difficulty, along with over 100 graphical representations, describe various differentiation options to offer hockey on the field and in the hall for different age and skill groups. Notably, there are 16 accessible videos on various technical elements that enable multimedia knowledge transfer. By linking practical content with scientifically grounded knowledge, a current overview of modern hockey in recreational sports is provided to further spread the fascination for hockey.
