Whether as a teacher or an author, she loves to encourage children to believe in themselves and find their own path. Anke Girod lives in Hamburg with her husband, their two children, and a cat. Illustrator: Irina Avgustinovich Irina Avgustinovich is a children's book illustrator from Belarus who now lives in Portugal. Although she holds a bachelor's degree in classical painting and ceramics, she transitioned to children's book illustration many years ago. She firmly believes in the power of imagination and loves to create new worlds on paper or tablet. Humor is particularly important to her in illustrating, along with lightness and the interplay of textures with light and color.
