For the half-elven scout Varian Jeggare and his devil-blooded bodyguard Radovan, things are often not as simple as they seem. But even this notorious investigator duo is unprepared for what they will find while searching for a missing scout in the eerie, fog-shrouded mountains of Ustalav. Intrigues of the nobility, mysterious locals, and deadly creatures of the night threaten Varian and Radovan from all sides. Only a pack of dark werewolves and a mysterious mute priestess come to their aid. To uncover the source of strange rumors and unveil a secret of unimaginable magnitude, both sword and magic must be employed.
