Product details
In 2010, Mother Teresa would have turned 100 years old. During the preparations for the anniversary, Albania, the birthplace of her parents, unexpectedly demanded the return of her mortal remains. However, Mother Teresa actually considered India her home, where she spent her entire life working. Born in Macedonia to wealthy Albanian parents, she chose early on to lead a strictly Catholic life as a nun. She saw it as God's mission to care for the poorest and the lepers in the slums. In India, she is revered as the Angel of the Poor or the Angel of the Dying. Mother Teresa passed away at the age of 87 in the order she founded in India, where she was also buried. For her humanitarian work, she received worldwide recognition awards, and the Catholic Church beatified her. This book provides an overview of Mother Teresa.
