Faschismus

Worldwide, there is a resurgence of anti-democratic, repressive, and destructive forces. Former American Secretary of State Madeleine Albright illustrates the significant similarities these forces have with the fascism of the 20th century. Fascist tendencies are re-emerging and spreading across Europe, parts of Asia, and the United States. Albright's family hails from Prague and fled twice: first from the Nazis, and later from the communist regime. Based on these experiences and the insights she gained throughout her diplomatic career, she traces the reasons for the resurgence of fascism. She identifies the factors contributing to its rise and warns urgently about the consequences. However, Madeleine Albright also offers clear solutions, such as changing working conditions and understanding people's needs for continuity and moral consistency. She demonstrates that the unique advantage of democracy lies in finding solutions to our shortcomings through reason and open discussion.
