Farsi-Dari / Dari-Farsi dictionary with German and English equivalents

Dari, the Persian language in Afghanistan, relates to Farsi, the Persian spoken in Iran, much like Austrian Standard German relates to German Standard German. It contains approximately 11,500 entries from Farsi to Dari and 13,000 entries from Dari to Farsi. Each entry includes phonetic transcription. Every entry features translations in German and English. This unique dictionary illustrates the specific differences between Farsi and Dari in contemporary usage of vocabulary and phrases in the press, mass media, and everyday life, and also includes the colloquial language of the respective regional variations. Each entry is structured as follows: the keyword is presented in the respective source variety, along with its reading, phonetic transcription, and any additional notes if necessary. In a new line, the different variants in the other variety are listed, separated by commas. Following that, the German translation is marked with 'de' and the English translation is marked with 'en'. In German, the gender of nouns is indicated. The translations into German and English reflect the most commonly used readings and primarily serve to facilitate a better understanding of the respective Persian expression. In cases of doubt, British English has been preferred.
