Bodies of water of all kinds have always attracted the special interest of various segments of the population; however, knowledge about the plants growing in and around them is often still very limited. This book presents the most common, as well as numerous rarer or particularly interesting aquatic and riparian plants, organized according to the twelve most important water and shore biotopes of Central Europe. Each color photograph is accompanied by information on the appearance, flowering period, occurrence, distribution, and conservation status of the respective species.
