A young little owl is looking for its own territory. This is a big task for him - an adventure. Where will he live? How will he hunt? What will he eat, and how will he survive the winter?

In spring, his tree hollow should be ready for a female little owl. There, she will lay eggs and incubate them. The hatched chicks will initially crawl around the tree. Later, they will learn to fly and hunt from their parents, so they can venture out into the world alone in autumn.

A family story that tells about natural conditions and habitats, behavior depending on the season, food searching, and brood care. An informative picture book that explains connections with simple texts and atmospheric images.

For about fifteen years, the little owl conservation project has been running in Germany, Switzerland, and France. The informative picture book and the accompanying booklet were created in collaboration with scientists from SVS / BirdLife Switzerland.
