Faktoren, Die Die Leistung Von Kleinen Und Mittleren Unternehmen Beeinflussen

This study aimed to critically examine the factors that influence the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises in the cities of Wolkite and Butajira in the Gurage Zone, particularly in the areas of production, services, and trade. Descriptive and explanatory research designs were used in this study. Both primary and secondary data sources were utilized. A stratified simple random sample was employed to select a proportional number of samples from the study area, with each stratum chosen using the lottery method. The study used a questionnaire to collect the necessary data from a sample of 139 SME owners and managers. The data were collected, coded, quantified, and analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS V.16). Linear regression was used to demonstrate the effect and relationship between the dependent and independent variables. The results of the study showed that the selected independent variables significantly explain the variations in the dependent variable at a significance level of 5%. Essentially, financing and infrastructure significantly influenced the performance of SMEs.
