Product details
The aim of this study in the Yakoma territory was to contribute to the improvement of knowledge regarding the factors that explain the fertility of adolescents. According to studies conducted in Yakoma, the fertility rate of adolescent girls (ages 10-19) has been relatively high over the past 15 years, with the rate recently approaching 187, despite increasing trends in girls' school enrollment and urbanization in recent decades. It has been shown that despite the existence of many modern opportunities for Yakoma women of today's generations, precarious living conditions, cultural burdens, and barriers that prevent adolescent girls from accessing information and reproductive health services are all factors that must be considered when explaining the sexual behavior of adolescent girls, which is a consequence of their early fertility.
