Fading Suns - Core Rulebook Box Set (EN Edition)
A passion play set in a distant future. We are in the sixth millennium. Humanity has spread across the stars and established a republic of advanced technology and universal emancipation - and then squandered it, fought for it, and lost it. As the light of the stars began to fade slowly, a new Dark Age descended upon the Inner Worlds. Then Emperor Alexius rose from the ashes of war and destruction to power, heralding a new era of hope. Now he calls upon brave knights, wise priests, and resourceful guild merchants to carry his peace to all known and unknown worlds.
A sturdy box that holds all three core books. This set includes the volumes Universe, Characters, and Game Mastering.
The Universe volume presents the backdrop of Fading Suns: its history, society, and astro-geography. Here you will encounter aristocrats, priests, guild members, aliens, psionics, cyborgs, and much more.
The Game Mastering volume presents characters, places, and plots for Fading Suns. It contains guidelines for creating dramas for the player group and how to populate them with all types of non-player characters, allies, rivals, and antagonists. An example drama is included, as well as a sample game that explains the mechanics turn by turn.
The Characters volume introduces the game system and player characters for Fading Suns. In the victory point system, each player uses a single 20-sided die and a handful of victory point chips to perform their character's dramatic deeds amidst the winds of fate. This book contains rules for character creation for all major factions, as well as technological equipment, starships, psychic powers, and theurgical rites.
