Faces of Landscape: corematics a tool for geographical perception

"Faces of Landscape: Corematics a tool for geographical perception" is a specialized book based on a master's thesis that explores the application of chorematics as a method for spatial representation from a geographical perspective. Unlike traditional Euclidean cartography, which relies on metric scales, chorematics aims to visually represent the dynamic relationships between actors and objects that are more complex than their mere location. The book offers innovative representations of the spatial transformations caused by conflicts between mining companies, conservation areas, and local communities regarding land use in Serra do Gandarela, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The goal of this work is to contribute to geographical thinking by presenting polysemous maps that allow for various interpretations and meanings.
