The "Exhibitions of the Ulm School of Design" is a comprehensive collection that documents the significant role of exhibitions in the 15-year history of the Ulm School of Design (HfG). These two volumes provide deep insights into the innovative exhibition design that was part of the curriculum, as well as the commissions awarded to the HfG by renowned industrial companies. The publication highlights exhibitions as a central medium for self-reflection and representation of the school, demonstrating how the pioneering ideas of the HfG were disseminated worldwide. The research project, funded by the Volkswagen Foundation between 2017 and 2021, has thoroughly examined the history of the HfG and offers a new perspective on the institution through the compilation of previously unknown documents.
