"Exposed Architecture" offers an overview of the work of young contemporary architects in Latin America, produced in collaboration with LIGA, Space for Architecture in Mexico City. LIGA is an independent initiative founded in 2011 to disseminate contemporary Latin American architecture through a variety of events such as exhibitions, conferences and publications. The first part is devoted to twelve exhibitions in the LIGA spaces, set up by architects from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela and Portugal. The second part focuses on the practice and aesthetics of architecture in South America. In the third part of the book, eight essays and two interviews illuminate important aspects and key concepts against the background of the region's sophisticated architectural production and its communication.
