It is not uncommon to hear about emotional or psychological suffering from patients. The help and support for patients at the end of life has never left medical professionals without psychopathological effects. Healthcare professionals are psychologically confronted with the death of others. The discourse on the syndrome of professional burnout and transfer mechanisms is divided, but the various manifestations of suffering among these caregivers, affected by their professional context, are likely very difficult to capture. The introduction of holistic palliative care support into training curricula in Sub-Saharan Africa is new. Overall, a therapist who has been sensitized during their training would be better equipped to relate to others. The efforts of recent years have contributed in one way or another to improving the technical areas, but there is still more to be done. This book draws the attention of policymakers or health systems interested in a universal palliative approach to the necessity of integrating appropriate psychological support.
