Evangelisches Gottesdienstbuch

The Protestant Worship Book, published in 1999, is the common agenda of the Lutheran and most of the united regional churches in Germany. The handy pocket edition in particular has been widely distributed. It is not only used for preparing worship services at home, but has also proved to be an excellent textbook for the liturgical training of theologians and church musicians. The introduction of the new 'Ordnung gottesdienstlicher Texte und Lieder' in 2018 makes an update necessary. The new pocket edition of the Evangelisches Gottesdienstbuch has been converted to the new pericope order. The prayer psalm has been included in full. The daily prayers have been reviewed and in some cases revised or replaced by new prayers. The orders of service have been changed to reflect the new order of the weekly hymn and Hallelujah. The text section has been reviewed and streamlined. The portraits of the Sunday and festival services ('The service in the church year') have been rewritten.
