The Early Eurythmy Figures - a documentation in words and images. Rudolf Steiner and Edith Maryon tirelessly struggled to find a form of representation for eurythmic gestures. The art portfolio showcases original eurythmy figures from the collections of the Rudolf Steiner Archive and the art collection at the Goetheanum. A text booklet provides information about their creation and stylistic significance. That these figures were not only intended for those practicing eurythmy, but also offered important practice and teaching materials for educators, is illustrated by Rudolf Steiner's statement at the teachers' conference on March 1, 1923: "Because it is also important for a more psychological physiology, Waldorf teachers should engage with these figures in general. It is at the same time a foundation for general artistic perception, for an understanding of the inner human organism, which can be learned from these figures.".
