Eugen Huber als Richter 1881-1882

Research has so far paid little attention to EUGEN HUBER's activities as a judge. This is to be changed here: The vanguard is the present volume, which presents to a broader audience the extensively reasoned, civil law judgments of the years 1881 and 1882 in which EUGEN HUBER participated.
On March 14, 1881, the Grand Council of the Canton of Basel-Stadt elected Prof. Dr. EUGEN HUBER as civil judge. And on December 5, 1882, the Department of Justice of Basel City announced that it had the honor to announce "that you have been appointed by the same in today's meeting as a member of the Notarial Examination Commission. "
EUGEN HUBER takes his work as a judge - in addition to his duties at the University of Basel - very seriously: after all, here he can test/verify theory in practice and strengthen the ability to distinguish the essential from the unessential.
