Etude numérique et expérimentale de la gazéification du bois

The book "Numerical and Experimental Study of Wood Gasification" offers a comprehensive analysis of the various types of gas generators, particularly in the context of their use in combined heat and power generation. It presents a technology with a fixed bed and phase separation (drying-pyrolysis, combustion, gasification), which is supported by a numerical model. This model has been developed and experimentally validated for each phase, with particular attention paid to tar production. The combustion models utilize Fluent software to integrate chemical reactions. Additionally, a prototype was developed in the laboratory to validate the concept of phase separation. The results demonstrate that this technology is capable of producing a combustible and clean synthesis gas, which is significant for future use in energy generation.
