With SAP BW/4HANA, the classic business warehouse for the analysis of historical data has been expanded to include the evaluation of real-time data. In this book, you will be guided step by step through this current SAP data warehouse application in a practical manner and with many screenshots.
To solve a case study from the utilities industry, the author creates a data model in an SAP BW/4HANA system. In the course of this, a number of objects are created for the required master and transaction data: Data flow diagrams, DataSources, InfoSources, the fundamentally important InfoObjects and transformations in order to be able to create the requested evaluations and reports. It also describes the loading of data into the SAP BW/4HANA system via the data transfer process and its evaluation in the CompositeProvider.
In many exercises, you will be encouraged to implement the procedure shown independently. You will also receive a brief introduction to the Eclipse development environment and the BW modelling tools.
