This introduction has been designed for self-study in SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence (WebI) from version 4.0 onwards, but also covers features that have been added in versions 4.1 and 4.2. It can also be used as a support for guided introductory training. Readers are systematically introduced to WebI by means of practical examples and exercises. Starting with elementary functionalities, they gain an ever better insight into the possibilities of report design.

Each chapter begins with a practical question from everyday reporting, the solution to which is presented in detailed and well-illustrated click instructions. Each chapter is followed by a short summary and more in-depth background knowledge to make it easier for the user to understand the concept. At the end of this training manual, further tasks are available, which the user can solve at this point without the click instructions, in order to check the understanding gained while working through the book. Of course, the corresponding solutions are also available for the user to check.
