Product details

Anna works for Alpha Solutions, a multinational corporation around which a cult has formed. Love for the company is considered a sacred duty, private life an old-fashioned idea. Many employees have never left the company premises. When Anna explains to a group of rebellious young people that they can achieve anything if they only make an effort, she no longer believes herself for the first time. She has had enough of the lies that are constantly told and repeated. Increasingly, she finds it difficult to trust what she is supposed to think. Her boyfriend Thomas cannot understand this. He has resigned himself to the fact that everything is the way it is. He finds the desire to change something alienating. And he is sure he wants to spend his life with Anna. After all, the two of them found out they were meant for each other in the course of Alpha Solutions' matchmaking programme. When she breaks up with him, he doesn't understand how it could have come to this. Soberly and with laconic humour, Mario Wurmitzer looks in his second novel at a world in the year 2037, of which they say everything could be worse. The limits of what is possible have shifted a bit, but not too far.
