The work 'Parental Educational Styles in Social Milieus' records educational experiences and styles of upbringing of members of all social milieus on the basis of qualitative, problem-centred interviews with mothers and fathers of pre-school-age children. After a look at terminology and current findings of educational style research with regard to the genesis and effects of educational styles, Sylva Liebenwein devotes the empirical part of the study to the presentation, discussion and interpretation of the milieu-specific results against the background of already existing findings.
