Based on the assumption that national we-constructions always produce exclusions, the study examines corresponding mechanisms in post-national socialist Germany. How are national self-image and the expectations placed on pedagogy connected? To what extent does pedagogy contribute to the stabilisation of national we-constructions? And how does this affect discourses on education after Auschwitz in a migration society?
