Erwin Böhm

This two-volume work by Prof. Erwin Böhm is the culmination of decades of research in the field of psychogeriatrics. The Böhm method of care diagnosis points to successful pathways from custodial care to an understanding, empathetic, and reactivating "soul care." In this unorthodox approach, the elderly caregiver increasingly becomes an attentive observer and competent care researcher, meeting the elderly person where they are, namely in the tertiary or collective memory. Elderly care thus becomes a dynamic, creative, and highly demanding process, in which it is essential to explore and interpret the individual feelings and stories that are significant to the elderly person.
