Bachelor thesis from the year 2020 in the subject area Health - Nursing Science - Nursing Management, grade: 2,0, Hamburger Fern-Hochschule, language: German, abstract: The thesis deals with the wishes and requirements of today's trainees as geriatric nurses for their future employers. It also aims to show the extent to which there are different demands on the employer by the different generations. In the course of the study, 308 trainees in the field of geriatric care were interviewed on various topics using a questionnaire they had prepared themselves. The need for nursing staff and especially for nursing specialists will continue to increase in the coming years, especially in outpatient long-term care, as the patients' wish is often to live in their familiar environment for as long as possible. In addition, it is the wish of the payers to first consider all possibilities of outpatient care before it comes to an accommodation in a full inpatient facility. Outpatient care is often the more favourable form of care for the funding agencies. In the course of demographic change, one will prospectively no longer have to ask the question: How do we, as suppliers of nursing services, find new clients or patients for our facilities?', but rather the question: 'How do we get sufficient personnel capacities to be able to ensure the care of the clients or patients?
