Ermittlung der Betonzugfestigkeit aus dem Spaltzugversuch an zylindrischen Betonproben

This dissertation explores, within the framework of experimental and numerical investigations, the main factors influencing the material behavior - both load-bearing capacity and failure mechanism - of a concrete specimen of different strength class in the split tensile test. Relationship functions derived on the basis of statistical considerations allow a more accurate estimation of the unconfined tensile strength from the splitting tensile strength than currently used conversion formulas.
