Arts in education and educational sciences? Yes! Of course! Dance education in all its facets is derived, defined, described and delimited in this issue. The theoretical basic knowledge of great dancers is followed by an empirical study, experts report from their fields of work as well as from their life stories and refer to the magical effect of dance as well as to scientifically founded benefits for body and mind. Nevertheless, the importance and necessity of well-being for young and old seem to have been underestimated so far. Can it be generally assumed that regular pedagogically supported dance positively influences emotional experiential spaces, cognitive learning processes as well as individual creative possibilities? The results of these hypotheses seem to be much more comprehensive than assumed for the time being...
