EQ. Emotionale Intelligenz

The abstract IQ, which measures rational intelligence, says little about how we navigate our lives and daily routines. Stress, anger, and anxiety cannot be managed by intellect alone. Other qualities are required here: the right way to handle emotions, the ability to analyze one's own feelings, and to respond appropriately to those of others. This fundamental ability, which some people possess more than others but can be gradually developed, is referred to by psychologist Daniel Goleman as "emotional intelligence." In this book, he clarifies why these emotional qualities are more important for social success and our happiness in life than a high IQ.
