Natural fiber mats reinforced polymer hybrid composites have great potential for technical materials in many applications. This book investigates the mechanical and thermal properties of polymer hybrid composites reinforced with bamboo and flax mats. The hand lay-up technique was used for the production of the hybrid composites. The mechanical properties such as hardness, tensile strength, tensile modulus, water absorption, and impact toughness of the hybrid composites were determined according to ASTM standards. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations provide insights into the fracture behavior of the hybrid composite, and the thermal properties such as differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) of the hybrid composites were also determined. The mechanical and thermal properties improved as the proportion of mat reinforcement in the matrix material increased.
