Chemical engineers, with their comprehensive training, must be able to solve global problems facing humanity by identifying and defining issues through the application of technology, methods, control, and monitoring of industrial processes, as well as developing solutions. For this purpose, there are automatic process control systems that enable continuous monitoring of critical parameters and minimize human errors. This presents an opportunity to bridge the gap between the theory of automatic process control and what exists at the industrial level, meaning that students are not limited to equations and pilot-scale facilities. Therefore, the aim of this work is to develop a computer solution that supports the comprehensive training process of students around automatic process control. The development of this simulator for automatic process control represents a systematic study of theories of automatic control and methods of control loop tuning, which are recommended in the programming environment Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Microsoft Excel.
