Global climate change has various adverse effects on our planet Earth. One of the most significant of these effects is the decline in food production and nutrient content. Due to rapid population growth, the food available in the climate change scenario will not be sufficient to meet demand, leading to an imbalance between supply and demand. Furthermore, the pressure on limited food resources will necessitate the search for alternative food sources in the near future. Against this backdrop, this book attempts to explore insects as a food source. The residents of the Bhamragad administrative block in the Gadchiroli district of central India consume insects as a source of food and medicine. This book provides a detailed description of the insects used as a food source and explains the preparation methods. The nutrient content of these insects is also presented. The future lies in insects as a food source.
