Entomopathogene Nematoden: Potenzielle biologische Mittel zur Schädlingsbekämpfung

Entomopathogenic nematodes are one of the most important methods of modern biological pest control. These nematodes form a symbiotic relationship with bacteria that have lethal effects on pests. The interest of early researchers in nematodes was sparked by the discovery of the mode of action of the bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis, which is commercially used in many areas. A brief look at history shows that the Japanese biologist Shigetane Ishiwatari isolated the bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis in 1901 as the cause of the Sotto disease, which killed large populations of silkworms. The aim of this work is to refresh knowledge on this interesting topic by reviewing and summarizing many previously conducted studies and activities in this small book.
