Product details

Bronchial and lung cancer patients require intensive discharge management. These patients are often affected by severe physical limitations and psychological stress. But what specific experiences can nursing staff on an oncology specialty unit gather regarding the discharge management of bronchial and lung cancer patients who require oxygen therapy due to their shortness of breath? To answer this question, the author conducts interviews with nursing staff and analyzes patient records. From the collected data, seven criteria are developed and explained in detail: further training and education on discharge management; time constraints faced by nursing staff; suggestions for improvement from participants; discharge management for bronchial and lung cancer patients who rely on oxygen therapy due to their shortness of breath; training, counseling, and guidance for patients and their relatives; collaboration with other professional groups; and the psychological burdens on nursing staff.
