Product details

Information about the series:

Cornelsen English Grammar is suitable for use in class starting from grade 7 as well as for home study. It serves to review familiar concepts, reinforce new grammar material after its introduction, and summarize several aspects of a grammatical phenomenon that are introduced individually in the student book.

Information about the series edition:

The Cornelsen English Grammar is aimed at students from grade 9 up to the Abitur and beyond.

There are two editions: a bilingual version with German rule formulations and a monolingual version with English rule formulations.

The simple language of the examples, the clear identification of central grammatical phenomena, the contrastive approach, and the numerous additional information make it an ideal reference and practice grammar for advanced learners - for school or home use.

The examples come from the learners' everyday life and reflect contemporary language usage. Many examples are translated into German. Deviant and error-prone language use is clearly marked.

The extensive appendix includes, among other things, a list of common mistakes as well as information on word formation, American English, and punctuation.

A detailed index allows for easy locating of grammatical topics and terms.

The Practice Books contain varied exercises tailored to the Cornelsen English Grammar (which can also be used with any other school grammar), a test section for self-evaluation with references to relevant exercises in the Practice Book, cross-references to the rules in the Cornelsen English Grammar, and solutions to all tasks.

The Practice Book 2 specifically trains and reinforces the grammatical structures relevant for upper secondary education and the Abitur.
