Product details
The main goal of a routing protocol for ad-hoc networks is to address the challenges posed by the dynamically changing topology. Therefore, it is crucial to establish an efficient route between any two nodes with minimal routing overhead and bandwidth consumption. These networks consist of constantly moving nodes that have limited battery power. This research focuses on increasing the lifespan of the network. Additionally, the proposed technique is introduced, which is a modification of the existing AODV-CS technique. This research highlights the characteristics and challenges of MANETs. Furthermore, the previously mentioned categories of routing protocols, proactive and reactive, are examined. In addition, three protocols, namely DSDV, DSR, and AODV, are compared in terms of various characteristics and their performance. Finally, a critical analysis is conducted. For optimization, the Cuckoo search algorithm and the Firefly optimization technique are utilized.
