Many buildings consume more energy during operation than necessary. The reasons for this are diverse: Often, the building technology systems were not optimized after commissioning, and sometimes the requirements of the users or the processes have changed. A professional energy operational optimization (eBO) can save up to 15 percent of energy demand, with payback times of a maximum of two years. The book introduces the concepts of eBO from the ground up and defines the framework conditions. It demonstrates how it is implemented and provides practical examples.
