2013: Nine school friends visit a nightclub in Bad Hombach. Two weeks later, one of them is pulled dead from the Rhine. Forensic medicine sees no signs of foul play. The case is closed. 2018: Initially, Commissioner Thomas Mohr - transferred to the Cold Cases department - flips through the notes rather listlessly. But then his investigative instincts kick in: something is not right. The authorities have done a sloppy job. The witness statements raise questions. And what about the biker gang that provided the bouncers? The more Mohr digs, the clearer a parallel world emerges: a perfect system of fear and intimidation. And it still works.
