In one of the most beautiful villages in southern France, a man dies under mysterious circumstances. His death is highly inconvenient for both the local police officer and the commissioner from the city. When it is revealed that the man was poisoned, the commissioner quickly concludes: It was the widow. However, this prompts the village ladies to take action, as they know their friend could not have done it. Courageously, the quirky group led by the Belgian Madame Merckx takes the investigation into their own hands.
